1917 McKeesport, Pennsylvania

Our great grandfather George Heatherington is seated on the gas tank of a Harley-Davidson for this group photo of the McKeesport HD Road Rally of 1917.  Click on the center section of the panoramic photo to see progressive close-ups of George and his cronies. 

This photo offers proof that motorcycling is in our blood.  I was recently made aware of this rare photo after a relative of mine (also living in Texas) stumbled upon our family Internet domain and contacted me.  She was kind enough to provide me with a copy of this rare three foot panorama photo. 

BTW:  Another reason this photo is so important to me personally is that I was born in McKeesport Pennsylvania almost four decades after this photo was taken.
