Sturgis is a "required run" for many of the large motorcycle clubs. This means that to keep their membership active, some clubs demand their members make the Black Hills Rally a "vacation stop".

This is part of the mystique . . . Harley riders from all walks of life rub shoulders on Main Street. Hells Angels, Banditos, the Booze Fighters and dozens of other "outlaw" clubs share the sidewalks with leaders of industry and plain common folks.
