The Long Ride
500 Miles Later.... That Same Day

Talk about a Kodak moment.... Somewhere in New Mexico during our '93 Sturgis trip, we stopped for a short rest. It had been a long day and we were ready to get home and back to the business of earning a living. After pushing our scooter about 500 miles, Lori's unrehearsed pose summed up our feelings. One of those times when you're glad the camera was close at hand.
The following year (August, 1994) we made the return trip home in two days. We left Rapid City, SD around noon on Friday and pulled into our garage in Plano, TX at 11:00PM Saturday evening. 1,200 miles in two days is our record. One which we do not intend to break any time soon. (I had to promise her that) Sometimes she has no sense of humor.
After spending three years of riding on the back of my scooter, Lori now pilots her own 1100cc Shadow.
